Bilbrook Litter Picks
Litter is a blight on the landscape which affects Bilbrook as it does everywhere else in the country. In January 2012, village residents joined the Friends of Bilbrook for their very first Community Litter Pick, and since then we carry out regular litter picks in the village in association with Bilbrook Parish Council, and with local schools, as well as our members carrying out their own.
More than 400 bags of rubbish
We have collected more than 400 bags of rubbish over the last 5 years. We have litter picking equipment available to lend to residents if they want to have litter picks of their own.
We’d always like to do more, and we encourage all residents of Bilbrook who are able to, to do their bit to keep our village litter-free.
We will continue in the pursuit of creating a clean and healthy Bilbrook for all residents. Did you know it costs the UK taxpayer nearly £1Bn a year to clear up litter? Imagine what better things that money could be spent on?
