Fungi Foray and River Flies 3rd October

Join us for our second Fungi Walk and talk to see what mushrooms and other fungi are growing in Jubilee Wood. Once again, we will be joined by fungus expert Sue Shanks.

After that event, at about 12 noon, we will be surveying the Moat Brook to see what is living in the water. Known as a Riverfly Survey, these are used to gain a snapshot of river health, the results of which are forwarded to the Environment Agency. The Friends of Bilbrook have been conducting Riverfly surveys in the Moat Brook for the past 13 years.

If you want to find out what’s living on our doorstep, please come along; well-behaved children and dogs are welcome.

We’ll be meeting at the Watery Lane entrance to Jubilee Wood at 10 am.
