Our Repair Cafe on 17th June was another great success. Over 30 members of the public came and had 50 repairs carried out. The most popular service was garden tools and knife sharpening, however a host of items were repaired. We even managed to get someone’s treasured vintage food mixer operational. The plant and seed swap, our first attempt at this, was also a huge success.
We would like to say a massive thank you to our volunteers who gave up their time to come along and help to save a lot of items being sent to landfill. We would also like to thank those who donated to the plant swap.
We took enough in donations to enable us to run another Repair Cafe later this year. We’ll post an update when we have a firm date.
